| According to a report from the People's Committee of Ky Son district, there are currently over 455 households with 2,305 people in areas at risk of flash floods in the communes of Huu Kiem, Chieu Luu, My Ly, Muong Ai, etc. There is also a risk of landslides affecting 285 households with 1,327 people in the communes of Muong Tip, Muong Ai, Muong Xen town, and Keng Du.Mr. Nguyen Si Son, Deputy Head of the Agriculture Department of Ky Son district, said: "In recent years, using integrated funding sources, the district has reinforced some landslide-prone sections with stone embankments, such as those in Ta Ca, Muong Tip, and Pha Danh communes... However, due to the rugged mountainous terrain, landslides still frequently occur on roads in Ky Son during the rainy season." |
