Ky Son: Guidelines on the content of the regional defense exercise.

(Baonghean.vn) -On July 2nd, the Steering Committee for the 2013 Regional Defense Exercise in Ky Son District organized a briefing on the content of the 2013 Regional Defense Exercise. Attending and directing the meeting were Lieutenant Colonel Ha Tan Tien - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command; leaders of Ky Son District; and representatives from various agencies, departments, organizations, and socio-political groups in the district.

At the conference, delegates heard presentations from officials of the Provincial Military Command on topics such as: disseminating the content and significance of the district-level defense zone exercise; holding a meeting of the District Party Committee Standing Committee to issue a resolution leading to a heightened state of combat readiness for local armed forces and placing the locality in a state of emergency regarding national defense and security; mobilizing mass forces; and methods for preparing content and conducting meetings of the District People's Committee, the District Military Command, and the District Police...

Regional defense exercises are activities aimed at enhancing the combat readiness of the armed forces and all segments of the population. Through each exercise, Party committees, authorities, and functional forces conduct evaluations, draw lessons learned, supplement defense plans, and strengthen efforts to mobilize the public to raise awareness and readiness to respond to any situations that may arise.
