Ky Son responds to World Environment Day.

(Baonghean.vn) - On June 5th, Ky Son district organized a rally to commemorate World Environment Day 2015.

Muong Long commune was chosen to host the World Environment Day rally with the theme "Together for Responsible Consumption - For a Sustainable Earth". 200 people from 13 villages, schools, and organizations in Muong Long commune and some neighboring communes participated in the event.

The 2015 World Environment Day rally aimed to raise community awareness about environmental protection and climate change adaptation; encourage and mobilize people to increase smart consumption practices, organize and participate in environmental sanitation activities; address pressing and unresolved environmental issues… and work together for a sustainable environment.

Following the launching ceremony, delegates participated in planting trees. Subsequently, youth union members from villages and units in the area mobilized to collect waste and clean up roads and sidewalks.
