Ky Son: The leader of a child trafficking group was released on bail

(Baonghean.vn) – The ringleader in the human trafficking case busted by Ky Son District Police on August 7 has been released on bail.

On August 11, speaking with a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper, Lieutenant Colonel To Van Hau, Chief of Ky Son District Police, said that one of the three subjects in the human trafficking case had been released on bail according to the law.

Accordingly, the subject Cut Thi Dao residing in Luu Thang village, Chieu Luu commune (Ky Son), who is believed to be the ringleader of the case of buying, selling, swapping or appropriating children recently arrested by the Ky Son district police force, has been released on bail.

The subject Cut Thi Dao was released on bail because she was pregnant and had a family sponsor, according to Clause 2, Article 88 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

According to the leader of Ky Son District Police, the case file has been transferred to Nghe An Provincial Police for further investigation.

Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, on August 7, Ky Son District Police cracked down on a human trafficking case led by Cut Thi Dao (born in 1989), residing in Luu Thang village, Chieu Luu commune (Ky Son). Dao married a Chinese man nearly 10 years ago. Recently, Dao has been frequently present in the area, trying to connect with locals to sell women and girls to China.

Cut Thi Dao promised to pay the broker couple Ven Van Hiep and Moong Thi Chieu 100 million VND each, on the condition that the goods must be delivered to Mong Cai city (Quang Ninh province).
