Ky Son: In the 2016-2017 school year, the percentage of students meeting the requirements exceeded 90% at all educational levels.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 21st, the People's Committee of Ky Son district held a conference to summarize the 2016-2017 school year and implement tasks for the 2017-2018 school year.
In the 2016-2017 school year, Ky Son district had 73 schools, with 1,193 classes and over 18,000 students. During the past school year, the Ky Son District Education Department implemented many comprehensive solutions to innovate the current general education program, focusing on developing students' competencies and qualities; and closely coordinated with local authorities and organizations to organize "Education Promotion Month" and "Education Promotion Tet" (Lunar New Year).

Despite being a district classified under category 30a, the quality of education has seen many positive changes in the past academic year, with school facilities becoming increasingly modern and well-equipped. Efforts to encourage and maintain student attendance have become more stable, with attendance rates reaching 96% for preschool, 97% for primary school, and 63.8% for secondary school.
During the past school year, schools maintained and improved the quality of school lunch programs for students, especially preschoolers, thereby contributing to reducing the rate of malnourished children to 12.8% (a decrease of 2% compared to the previous school year).

The percentage of students meeting the required standards at all levels of education is steadily increasing, specifically: at the preschool level, 99.4% of students met or exceeded the required standards, with 99.4% of 5-year-old kindergarten children meeting the standards; at the primary school level, 97.6% of students completed the program. At the lower secondary school level, 2.3% of students achieved a good academic performance; 26.5% achieved excellent performance; and 98.3% of students were recognized as graduating from lower secondary school.

At the closing ceremony, one unit received a commendation flag, and four collectives received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee for outstanding achievements in the patriotic emulation movement. In addition, one individual was awarded a provincial-level emulation title by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and four collectives and eight individuals with outstanding and exemplary achievements during the period from the 2012-2013 school year to the 2015-2016 school year were awarded Certificates of Merit.
Ky Son District also presented certificates of merit and numerous awards to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the 2016-2017 school year.
