Ky Son: Breaking up a drug case, arresting a suspect with many hot items

Lieutenant Colonel To Van Hau (Chief of Ky Son District Police, Nghe An) said that the unit had just arrested a subject for illegal drug trafficking. They seized evidence of drugs, many guns, mines and related documents.

According to the investigation agency, after a period of establishing a special project coded 417K, at noon on April 22 in the Xieng Thu area, Chieu Luu commune (Ky Son district), the working group of Ky Son district police suddenly controlled and arrested Vy May Kham (born in 1979), residing in Xieng Thu, Chieu Luu commune for illegal drug trafficking.

Searching Kham's residence, the task force seized 15 grams of heroin; 1.55 grams of synthetic drugs; 2 homemade guns; 11 bullets; 27 homemade mines, industrial detonators; 24 pieces of slow-burning wire; 8 mobile phones; and a number of other related exhibits.

According to the investigation agency, Kham often bought drugs from other places and brought them to the shelter to resell to partners and other addicts in the area.

Kham was identified as a reckless subject, always possessing many hot weapons and cunning, so successfully arresting the subject required the Ky Son Police force to calculate very carefully.

The case is under further investigation.
