At that very moment, Mrs. Gia Y Mai (a fellow villager) was checking her rat traps along the stream bank when a rolling rock struck her head, causing her to collapse on the spot.

Afterward, Ms. Mai was transported by a vehicle from the Na Loi Border Guard Post (Kỳ Sơn) to Mường Xén town to hire a vehicle to take her to Nghệ An General Hospital for emergency treatment.
