Ky Son: Organizing a population communication campaign.

(Baonghean.vn) –On the morning of April 17th, the People's Committee of Ky Son district held a ceremony to launch a campaign integrating communication and provision of reproductive health and family planning services. Attending the event were representatives from various departments of the district, as well as collaborators and village-level communicators from 21 communes and towns.

Due to a lack of understanding of reproductive health and family planning regulations, the rate of third births in Ky Son district has been quite high in recent years. Furthermore, the limited awareness of reproductive health protection among ethnic minority communities has negatively impacted population quality. In response to this situation, the District People's Committee launched a communication campaign integrating the provision of reproductive health/family planning services, promoting awareness of the disadvantages for families and society when having a third child, and urging people to stop at two children to raise healthy and well-behaved children.

On this occasion, Ky Son district also conducted a signing ceremony for a commitment not to have a third child among all officials and Party members, from the district level down to the communes and villages.
