Ky Son deploys planting Shan Tuyet tea according to VietGAP standards

(Baonghean.vn) - Building a model of Shan Tuyet tea production following VietGAP standards, creating a link between production and consumption, helping tea growers achieve higher economic efficiency is the model being implemented by the Ky Son District Agricultural Extension Center in coordination with the BIDV Development Investment Bank, Nghe An branch, in Huoi Tu commune, Ky Son.

With a scale of over 10 hectares, 10 households participating in the model were each provided with 3,300 tea seedlings and nearly 800 quintals of various fertilizers. In addition, the households were also guided and advised by technical staff of the district's Agricultural Extension Station on the process of growing tea, managing the land, keeping a diary of using pesticides and fertilizers, and planting timber trees to create shade for the tea trees...

10 households participating in the model were given nearly 800 quintals of various types of fertilizers for free.

After two months of implementation, according to the assessment of technical staff and authorities, the survival and growth rate of tea trees reached over 93%.
