'Village engineer' makes industrial dishwasher
From a household dishwasher, the 'barefoot engineer' in Thai Binh developed it into an industrial scale and was welcomed by many people.
Having been exposed to the mechanical repair and installation environment quite early, Nguyen Van Ngoc (36 years old, in Tu Tan, Vu Thu, Thai Binh) while still in school wanted to stick with this field for a long time.
His father was an auto mechanic in the army. After retiring, he opened a motorbike repair shop at home, so in his free time, Ngoc often helped out and gradually accumulated a lot of experience. After finishing high school, Ngoc studied pharmacy at a junior college according to his family's wishes. After graduating, he did not pursue a career but worked at the National Defense Electromechanical Factory; then applied to study at the National Defense Industrial High School, majoring in mechanical engineering.
Graduated with honors in 2004, with the knowledge he learned and the experience he had, he cherished the idea of setting up his own mechanical workshop with a few friends. "If I had to work for someone else, I don't know when I would have a career," he said.
His wish met with strong opposition from his family. Because they did not want their son to take risks and spend money without getting results, his parents found him a stable job at Thai Binh Provincial Military Command. He firmly refused by staying at home, and insisted that he wanted to pursue his passion for mechanics. In the end, his parents had to "turn a blind eye".".
Work for hire to create start-up capital
Starting his own path, Ngoc did not ask or borrow money from his family to start a business, but instead worked for hire in many places. In 2007, he opened a mechanical equipment installation workshop in his hometown. This winter, after dinner, I saw my mother come back into the house with purple hands, sighing as she walked. I guessed she had just washed the family's dishes.
The idea of making a dishwasher to help his mother was born from here. But it took him two years to realize it when he had the financial means.

At this time, families in Vietnam used dishwashers, but they were mainly imported, expensive and consumed a lot.electricityTo overcome that limitation, Ngoc searched day and night for the device everywhere and after many failed experiments, he finally succeeded. The main material of the machine is stainless steel, which helps the device not rust. The product won third prize in the Thai Binh Province Technical Innovation Contest in 2009.
Manufacturing industrial dishwashers
Realizing that the machine was not beautiful in appearance, quite rough, could not become a decorative item in the house, so it was difficult to compete with imported goods, Ngoc started to manufacture industrial automatic dishwashers to serve restaurants and food establishments. "Industrial machines do not require high design, so I changed the development direction based on the principle of mini family machines," Ngoc said.
In mid-2015, Ngoc started making the first industrial dishwasher and completed it in early 2016. It weighs 360 kg,Washing capacity 3,600 dishes and 120 trays per hour.Users only need to rinse the dishes with water to remove food scraps, then arrange the dishes in each specialized tray, push the tray into the machine through the internal spray system and finally take it out.
Dishes are fed into the machine through 2 rows of pressure nozzles: top down and bottom up combined with 65 degree C hot water for washing, 70 degree C hot water for rinsing dishes. The water pressure nozzle rotates in 4 directions to spray on all surfaces of dishes. The machine uses a circulating water source so it is very water-saving.
The product has been known by many restaurants across the country. He is currently manufacturing some machines according to orders from many places such as Quang Ninh and Nha Trang.
