In the late 1940s, local parishioners built 14 stations of the cross on the mountain, running in a spiral from the bottom up. At the same time, a path up the mountain with nearly 171 green stone steps, with protective railings, was built. The last stop at the foot of the cliff is Diet Garden, where there are shady gardens, strange caves, and trickling water day and night. These caves, which are deep in the mountain, were previously filled in and turned into swampy fields. |
