One year after establishing himself as Mayor of Buford, Wyoming, the first Vietnamese person to own a town in America, Mr. Pham Dinh Nguyen is gradually implementing his aspirations to reshape the "world coffee map" by publicly presenting his "Vietnamese Coffee Manifesto"...

This is the first activity in the entire declaration plan, which will continue to be implemented in the town of Bufort – scheduled to take place on September 3rd. Through this series of activities, the Mayor hopes to properly define the position of Vietnamese coffee!

The spirit of Vietnamese entrepreneurs!

Sharing his thoughts on this Declaration with the press, Mr. Pham Binh Nguyen – Mayor of Buford and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PhinDeli – said: “Surely you remember that last April, the event of Vietnamese people buying the American town of Buford created quite a 'seismic shift' in America. This event sparked a wave of debate: 'Wake up, America!' This event once again affirmed the spirit of Vietnamese entrepreneurs: Nothing is impossible!”

The first Vietnamese mayor in America added: “I remember after successfully bidding at the Buford auction with a close bid of $900,000 (20,000 more than the next closest competitor), besides major American television stations like CNN, CCTV (China) also came because they had fellow Chinese participants in the auction. And before the auction, they were very surprised to see me from Vietnam.”MaleBut they were even more surprised when they heard the results. These reporters begged me to interview and film them. But I refused. I wanted the first people I shared this success with to be Vietnamese journalists and reporters.MaleAnd that's exactly what happened.

One more thing, many people have asked me what I would do with Buford! To be honest, at the time I didn't have any specific plans because the decision to participate in the auction came to me quite by chance. However, I still believed that with a famous town, even with only 4 hectares, there would be a lot to be done! It could be used as a showroom to showcase Vietnamese goods, or as a springboard for promoting Vietnamese products.Maleentering America…

However, I later decided to pursue my own path of developing a Vietnamese brand.Male– a product that VietnamMaleThis is a strength and is deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture. And those product standards are fully present in Vietnamese coffee!

People who create… shocking projects!

During the research phase to realize my plan, I coincidentally met Mr. Do Quoc Tuan, who works as a Marketing Director in Vietnam.MaleWe partnered with Kraft Foods – a world-leading coffee corporation. Great minds think alike, and together we launched the project. And now, after more than eight months, we are confident in announcing the Vietnamese Coffee Manifesto, a commitment to introducing the essence of Vietnamese coffee to coffee enthusiasts worldwide. Through this, we will reaffirm the position of Vietnamese coffee on the global coffee map.

"Modeled" after the US Declaration of Independence: The Declaration of Vietnamese Coffee in America... has the original text: "All men are created equal. The Creator has endowed us with certain unalienable rights. These are the right to life, the right to enjoyment, and the right to... enjoy coffee!" This declaration is similar to the establishment of mayoral rights in Vietnam.MaleThe first of its kind on American soil has generated interest and even "shock" for many people.

Mayor Bufort further shared: It's not "fair" to Vietnamese coffee when Vietnam...MaleVietnam is the world's second-largest exporter of coffee. However, the position of branded retail finished coffee products is quite modest. Furthermore, the demand for roasted and ground coffee is enormous. This opens up a need for truly authentic Vietnamese coffee – one that is both uniquely flavorful and absolutely safe for consumers both domestically and internationally. With PhinDeli, we want to reaffirm the spirit of Vietnamese entrepreneurship: Nothing is impossible!

We will mark the introduction of the Vietnamese Coffee Manifesto in America by renaming the 147-year-old town of Buford to PhinDeli Town. This will be the most unique event ever, as it will be the first time a Vietnamese coffee town has been established in the world. A PhinDeli coffee shop will be set up here to introduce the essence of Vietnamese coffee to the Vietnamese community and locals in America… We see Buford as a spiritual stepping stone for PhinDeli to gradually penetrate the market of over 300 million people… - Mr. Pham Dinh Nguyen affirmed.
