At the meeting, there were 23 opinions of voters reflecting and recommending to the National Assembly deputies on 10 groups of issues regarding policies for people with meritorious services, land management in the area; voters were concerned about environmental pollution in the area; agricultural, farmer and rural policies; infrastructure construction; health care and food safety policies; anti-corruption, etc.
Among them, dredging Lach Van estuary is the content that many voters of Dien Chau district reflected to the National Assembly delegates. Mr. Thai Ba Tu, a voter of Dien Bich commune, suggested: Dien Chau people have invested in building new large ships. The number of ships is large, with large capacity, but the estuary is too shallow, making it difficult and dangerous for ships to anchor.
"Dien Chau residents have petitioned for many years but have not received any response. We request that the State pay attention to investing in dredging the estuary so that people can have conditions to catch and trade seafood, and protect people's property," said Mr. Tu.
A "hot" issue that has long been raised in meetings with voters of National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies is the environmental pollution in Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district.
Voter Nguyen Cong An, Dien Ngoc commune said: People in the commune often live with environmental pollution from fishmeal processing factories, household waste, etc.
"Especially in the hot and sunny season, the people of Dien Ngoc commune are "tortured" by the foul smell from fishmeal processing factories, which greatly affects the lives and activities of the people. All levels and sectors need to have solutions to solve the environmental pollution problem for the people of Dien Ngoc commune" - voter Nguyen Cong An suggested.

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Dien Chau district will propose to the Provincial People's Committee to approve the project and continue to mobilize capital sources to invest in dredging the estuary to ensure the safety of fishermen's boats entering and exiting Lach Van estuary," said Mr. Vinh.
