After a period of silence, recently, subscribers have been "terrorized" by phone calls inviting them to buy real estate.

For about a month now, every day Ms. Hoa (Dong Da, Hanoi) has received several phone calls from employees of real estate distribution companies inviting her to buy apartments in some upcoming projects in Gia Lam, Nam Tu Liem, Thanh Xuan and resort projects.

"The frequency of annoying calls several times a day, even when I was busy in meetings, made me angry. For the same project, the unit had several employees calling in one day. When discussing, I clearly stated that I had no need and asked to be removed from their list of potential customers, but the situation continued," said Ms. Hoa.

Mr. Chinh (Thanh Xuan) also encountered a similar situation, in which the majority of calls were invitations to buy houses, life insurance or loans. However, unlike before, when he could be "invited to buy a house" at any time of the day, now most of the calls only appear during office hours, on weekdays. However, Mr. Chinh also said that he was "hunted" by this group of employees to the point that if he blocked this number, another number would call the next day.

In addition to the form of having employees call directly to offer, many units also use automatic switchboards to make advertising calls. Accordingly, as soon as the subscriber picks up the phone, immediately on the other end of the line, information about the real estate project will be automatically turned on, regardless of whether the person picking up the phone is busy or interested in the project or not.

Not only calls, SMS messages are also a form that real estate sales units continue to mobilize to advertise and solicit subscribers. However, recently when network operators are strong in blocking spam messages, some units have promoted spam messages on the internet platform (OTT) or email.

A representative of a large real estate floor in Thanh Xuan said that the end of the year is the time when floors and real estate businesses race to achieve annual business results. Therefore, before entering the last quarter of the year, information about products and projects is often aimed at introducing to the market as strongly as possible. In addition to promoting direct introductions via phone, units also promote advertising in all forms.

"In each real estate project, there are many distribution units. They may own the same customer data, so it is inevitable that one customer will be called from one floor to another," he explained.

Along with that, according to him, with high year-end business targets, the floors are stepping up recruitment and many of those employees are new to the profession. He believes that for these employees, the approach via phone and email is still popular because customer data is not solid enough. He also admits that the effectiveness of this approach is not high, but the floors still implement it to increase brand awareness.

In addition to real estate purchase offers, as usual, subscribers also regularly receive calls inviting them to buy life insurance, consumer loans, gym memberships, spa services, cosmetics, and even tutoring services...

The leader of an insurance business unit said that although it is annoying to customers, introducing and consulting services over the phone is one of the approaches favored by units in this field. According to him, although it is not effective in increasing revenue, this form can help businesses build their brand. However, he also admitted that in the future, insurance companies should study approaches that are tactful and do not cause offense to customers.
