Another fire in Dubai building
A fire has broken out in a high-rise building in Dubai, just days after one of the world's tallest buildings in the same area caught fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured, the New York Times reported. But it added to the stress of residents after the 86-story Dubai Torch building across the street caught fire on August 4.
Col. Amer Abdulwahab al-Qahtani of the Dubai Civil Defence said the fire started from clothes left on a balcony on the 53rd floor of the Tiger Tower in Dubai Marina. Authorities believe a cigarette that was not properly extinguished or the high morning temperatures sparked the fire. Temperatures were 43 degrees Celsius (111 degrees Fahrenheit) at the time.

The Dubai Media Office said it was a small fire and no one was injured.
Dubai has seen several high-rise building fires in recent years. On April 2, a fire broke out at a 60-story building under construction in downtown Dubai, injuring four people and snarling traffic in the downtown area for hours.
On July 20, 2016, a major fire broke out at the 75-story Sulafa building in Dubai. In March of the same year, the Emirate of Ajman building also suffered a major fire. Before that, in November 2012, a 34-story apartment building in the city was partially destroyed by fire.
