Fishing boat and 18 fishermen from Nghe An safely brought to shore
(Baonghean.vn) - After many hours of engine failure and drifting in the open sea, the fishing boat of fishermen in Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu) was successfully rescued.
On the morning of April 7, fishing boat NA -97568-TS towed fishing boat NA-90635-TS, captained by fisherman Pham Van Son (residing in Dai Tan village, Quynh Long commune, Quynh Luu), along with 18 fishermen from offshore waters to shore safely.

On April 5, while fishing in the offshore waters at coordinates 19.4 degrees North latitude, 106.42 degrees East longitude, about 100 nautical miles from the mainland, fishing boat NA-90635-TS suddenly had an engine failure.
Although the fishermen tried to fix the problem but were unsuccessful, Captain Pham Van Son contacted the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center and the Nghe An Border Guard Command, and called on fishing boats and teams operating in the same fishing grounds to come to the rescue.
After 24 hours of the incident at sea, fishing boat NA-90635-TS was safely towed to Lach Quen port, Quynh Luu district, by fishing boat NA-97568-TS owned by fisherman Le Huong, also residing in Quynh Long commune.
It is known that fishing boat NA-90635-TS, after 10 days of fishing at sea, brought back nearly 10 tons of various types of fish, earning nearly 400 million VND, each crew member received 4-5 million VND.
