Another young man and two children drowned in Quang Ngai

On the evening of April 16, Mr. Pham Tan Hoang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai City confirmed that two children in Tinh Khe commune drowned.

At around 6:00 p.m. the same day, people discovered the bodies of two children, Vo Tung Lam (4 years old) and Vo Thi Linh Nhi (2 years old), the children of Vo Thanh Tung and Ms. Tran Thi Nga (Truong Dinh village, Tinh Khe commune, Quang Ngai city) dead in a water-filled toilet under construction at the house of Mr. Nguyen Dac Nam (same village).

Before that, at around 5pm when their parents were not home, the two children went out to play. When Mr. Tung returned home and could not find his children, he asked the neighbors and asked them to look for them. At around 6pm, people discovered the two children in the toilet.

The distance from the house to where the two children died is about 400m. According to Mr. Nam, when the two children arrived at the above area, there were no construction workers, the toilet was in the final stages of completion so water was pumped in to test the tank.

It is known that Mr. Tung and Ms. Nga's family is in difficult circumstances, and the couple is currently renting a house.

On the same day, a drowning incident occurred in Ba Dong Commune, Ba To District (Quang Ngai). The victim was Tran Van Minh (17 years old, Nghia Dien Commune, Tu Nghia District), who drowned while bathing in a stream in Ba Dong Commune. Local people then dived to find and retrieve Minh's body.
