Team 3 of the Traffic Police Department - Road and Rail - Hanoi City Police has just announced that one of its traffic police officers was hit head-on by a car and thrown onto the road. The injured officer was taken to the hospital by local residents.

Earlier, at approximately 7:40 PM on November 13th, a task force from Traffic Police Team No. 3 - Road and Rail Traffic Police Department - Hanoi City Police, while on duty at the intersection of Le Van Luong and Lang Ha streets in Dong Da district, Hanoi, spotted a car with license plate 29C - 529xxx violating traffic regulations.

Immediately afterwards, a traffic police officer in the task force signaled the vehicle to stop for inspection. However, instead of complying with the traffic police officer's order, the driver of the car suddenly accelerated, rammed straight into the traffic police officer, and then fled.

Because the incident happened so unexpectedly and at a time when traffic was heavy, a traffic police officer from Traffic Police Team No. 3 was hit by a car and thrown to the side of the road. Due to the strong impact, the officer was injured and was taken to the hospital by his colleagues and local residents.

Speaking to reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Le Tu, head of Traffic Police Team No. 3, Road and Rail Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police, confirmed the incident and stated: "According to reports from citizens, the driver of the car intentionally rammed into the traffic police officer while he was on duty."

Regarding the health of the traffic police officer who was hit by the car, Lieutenant Colonel Le Tu said: “As of around 11:00 AM on November 14th, the health of the traffic police officer from our team who was hit by the car is gradually recovering and is not in danger. However, our traffic police officer is still experiencing pain in many parts of his body and is being treated and monitored at the hospital. Following the incident, Traffic Police Team No. 3 has handed over the entire case to the local police for investigation and handling according to their authority.”

The incident is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities.
