Taxi driver who threw airport employee onto hood arrested
A taxi driver has been criminally prosecuted for insulting a security officer at Noi Bai airport and throwing him onto the hood of a car.
On May 8, a representative of the Soc Son District Police (Hanoi) said that the police investigation agency had decided to temporarily detain taxi driver Dinh Van Chung (26 years old) to investigate the act of resisting a person on duty.
Driver Chung (26 years old)He confessed that he did this because he was afraid of being punished by airport security for picking up passengers in violation of regulations.

Director of Noi Bai International Airport Nguyen Duc Hung said that although the number of touts, illegal vehicles, and illegal exploitation of passengers at Noi Bai has decreased, they are becoming more and more complicated with sophisticated and reckless tricks. This requires closer coordination between the airport and local authorities.

On the afternoon of May 6, at the T2 passenger terminal of Noi Bai International Airport, Mr. Doan Minh Nam, an employee of the Car Parking Control Team of the Noi Bai International Airport's aviation security force, was on duty on the 3rd floor of the terminal when he discovered a taxi driven by Chung driving onto traffic lane 2 to pick up passengers in violation of regulations.
Mr. Nam reminded the taxi driver but he did not comply and even insulted him.According to authorities, seeing Mr. Nam using a walkie-talkie to communicate, the taxi driver hit him, threw him onto the hood, and then sped off toward the ticket booth.
In 3 years (2015-2017), Noi Bai International Airport coordinated with Noi Bai International Airport Police Station to handle 241 cases of touts and 831 cases of illegal vehicles operating at the port. From the beginning of 2018 to May 5, 2018, the situation has decreased to 30 cases (4 touts and 26 illegal vehicles).
