Fake documents of the Ministry of Finance auctioning luxury cars appear again
Two fake documents from the Ministry of Finance and the Department of State Asset Management regarding the auction of confiscated cars in the case of Dung "Mat Sat" were spread in the car trading and business community.
The Ministry of Finance said that recently, in the business and automobile trading community, two documents were circulated, said to be from the Ministry of Finance and the Department of State Asset Management, with the content of "auctioning cars that violate the law" and "handling cars confiscated in the case of Ha Tuan Dung (Dung "Mat Sat", Quang Ninh).

The first document forged the direction of the Ministry of Finance dated November 8th, with the content of assigning the Department of Public Asset Management to preside over and coordinate with other agencies to complete the dossier to organize the auction of 181 cars in the case. The second document dated May 18th forged the Department of Public Asset Management to report to the Ministry of Finance about the completion of procedures to prepare for the auction of the above cars withThe remaining value is 128.3 billion VND.
The two fake documents above have many spelling mistakes, even misspelling the name of the organization.The Ministry of Finance affirmed that this agency and the Department of Public Asset Management did not have any documents with the above content.
Previously, on May 23, the General Department of Customs also discovered a fake document in the name of this agency confirming the collection of money to buy new liquidated cars and motorbikes.
"It is very likely that the subjects who forged documents from the Ministry of Finance, the Department of State Asset Management, and the General Department of Customs aimed to defraud individuals and businesses through the form of calling for capital contributions. The case is being investigated by the police," said the Ministry of Finance.
