The main material for making brooms is the flowers of the bamboo tree, which are collected by the people in the forest or bought from traders who bring them from Laos and the western districts such as Ky Son, Tuong Duong, etc. During the bamboo flower season, each household usually stores 3-5 tons of bamboo, dries them and stores them in the attic for later use.
