Forged lottery tickets, took them to claim 2 billion VND prize

Duc was arrested at the lottery company office while trying to claim his prize with a fake lottery ticket.

On November 1, Hue City Police (Thua Thien - Hue) said that Vu Minh Duc (31 years old) was being arrested to investigate the act of counterfeiting winning lottery tickets.

A day before, Hue police received a report from the Quang Nam provincial lottery office that someone had forged a lottery ticket that won the special prize of 2 billion VND and brought it to claim the prize. The police were present there and invited Duc to the headquarters for questioning.

At the investigation agency, Duc confessed to using cutting, pasting and scanning techniques to "magically" turn a regular lottery ticket into a winning ticket and brought it himself to claim the prize.
