Vinh City Medical Center has taken water samples from Golden City 3 apartment building for testing after recording 59 people living there suffering from diarrhea.
On the afternoon of September 26, Mr. Hoang The Tung - Director of Vinh City Medical Center said that the unit had sent staff to Golden City 3 apartment building (Nghi Phu commune, Vinh city) to take water samples from several households for testing.
This move took place after many households in this apartment building reported that they suffered from diarrhea, suspected to be caused byThe apartment's clean water source is polluted.
"After verification, this apartment building has 107 households, with 350 people, but up to 59 people in 36 households have diarrhea. After buying clean water, the apartment building has a water tank on the top floor, the households use that water source for daily activities. Currently, we have to wait for test results to know the cause," Mr. Tung added.
A representative of the Golden City 3 Apartment Management Board said that in recent days, residents of this apartment building suddenly experienced symptoms of stomachache, diarrhea, nausea, etc. A few days ago, the water source in this apartment building had a very unpleasant smell. After the incident, the local authorities brought chlorine to treat the water tank in the apartment building.
A resident of the apartment building said that those who had diarrhea all used water from the tank. Meanwhile, households that bought bottled water for use did not have similar symptoms.
