Lampard: 'Chelsea has a great squad of young players'
Coach Frank Lampard is confident in the young stars shining at Chelsea, after the 5-2 victory at Wolves on the evening of September 14.
"I'm pleased with the whole team, especially Fikayo Tomori," Lampard shared withBBCafter the Wolves game. "He has worked very hard from day one until now. Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount have been very impressive. We are giving young talent a chance and after their recent performances, they have shown that they deserve it. They are great players, because they have class and love for the club."

In his second start of the season, Tomori opened the scoring with a 40-yard strike from distance for Chelsea. The 21-year-old defender's superb strike was the start of a resounding victory for Chelsea against an opponent who had only earned one point in their two Premier League meetings last season.
"The young players know how to create chances and score goals. That is very important. But not only them, experienced players like Willian are also playing well. That is the key to winning. This season, Chelsea had good matches but lost points. The good news is that we did not repeat that against Wolves," Lampard continued to praise his students.
After five rounds, Chelsea have only had three players score: Abraham (7 goals), Mount (2) and Tomori (1). But according to Lampard, this is not a worrying sign because Chelsea always creates enough opportunities in each match. "Abraham scored three goals in different styles. He always wants to score, as do the rest of the team. The important thing is that we are united and understand each person's task," the 41-year-old coach affirmed.
The win over Wolves moved Chelsea up to sixth place with eight points. They are two points behind second-placed Man City and seven points behind leaders Liverpool.
