673 views, 64 shares and 251 comments are the impressive numbers in the regular online meeting of the Quynh Lap Commune Youth Union (Hoang Mai Town) on the evening of March 23.

According to the Secretary of the City Youth Union Ho Canh Thuan, the theme of the March activities revolves around two main contents: reviewing the tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union after 89 years of establishment and growth and propagating and raising awareness in preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

Quynh Lap is the first unit of the Town to test this new form of periodic activity, however, with the creativity in the implementation method, it has attracted the interaction of many union members. Through the organization of the mini game "Knowledge Game" consisting of 12 questions, the union members with the fastest and most accurate answers will receive meaningful gifts from the organizers.

By providing answers to each question, the Executive Committee of the Quynh Lap Commune Youth Union cleverly integrated interesting knowledge related to the topic to convey to the local youth union members. At the same time, the atmosphere of the meeting was also more exciting and cohesive.

The meeting not only attracted 586 local youth union members to participate but also created a spread and interaction from neighboring units in Hoang Mai town.

In other coastal localities of Nghe An such as Quynh Luu and Dien Chau, this activity has also been effectively implemented. According to representatives of the Youth Union organizations, the number of local youth union members has long fluctuated greatly. The reason is that most of the young people participate in long fishing trips or work far away, so they cannot fully attend the Youth Union meetings.

However, thanks to the online activities, many members who are far from their residence in the communes of Quynh Chau, Quynh Hau, Son Hai (Quynh Luu district) and Minh Chau, Dien Dong, Dien Doai (Dien Chau district) were able to participate in contributing opinions and answering questions and games in the program.

For mountainous localities, the Youth Union bases in Tan Ky, Que Phong, Thanh Chuong, Quy Hop, Quy Chau... are units that are highly appreciated for their investment in content and form of expression.

With 5 Youth Union bases organizing activities online, Thanh Chuong is the locality with the most registered units among 21 districts, cities and towns in the province. Although this is the first time organizing, the Youth Union bases in Thanh Chuong still fully implemented important contents including approving activities during the Youth Month of the Commune Youth Union, instructing on proper hand washing according to the standards of the Ministry of Health, implementing interactive games and orienting the Youth Union's work in the coming month.

In particular, in Thanh Tung commune, the Commune Youth Union Executive Committee launched an online fundraising campaign to support the fight against Covid-19. At the main point, all members of the Commune Youth Union Executive Committee participated in direct support, while the hamlet youth unions participated in support by registering online.

Mr. Hoang Van Truong - Deputy Secretary of Thanh Tung Commune Youth Union said that this was the first time the commune's youth union organized activities online. Although the facilities were still difficult, all the youth union branches responded enthusiastically. In particular, many young people who were far from home to work in the South and the North, and their children abroad, also followed the activities and gave positive feedback. In the coming time, the commune's youth union will continue to promote this form in diversifying youth union activities.

To liven up the atmosphere, many performances were performed live in front of the camera to thousands of viewers via livestream.

At the end of the meeting, 5 Youth Union branches in Thanh Chuong received over 1,150 interactions, shares and comments from union members and young people.

In Tan Ky, the commune delegations have implemented many practical contents such as providing knowledge about Vietnam's sovereignty over seas and islands; launching a contest to learn about the history of Nghe An province, 990 years of formation and development; and a painting contest with the theme of protecting health and preventing the Covid-19 epidemic.

Through the form of answering multiple choice questions, the game "Catch the word" and quick questions - short answers, 3 commune Youth Union units: Ky Son, Nghia Dong and Dong Van. The activities attracted 1094 likes, 748 comments and 238 shares.

Referring to the launching of online activities for the entire Youth Union, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thom - Acting Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union shared: Entering the Youth Month of 2020, all provincial, municipal and affiliated Youth Unions under the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union have received an official dispatch outlining the direction of organizing activities of the Central Committee of the Youth Union. This official dispatch is based on the Prime Minister's Directive on strengthening measures to prevent and combat the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic. The main point is to limit large gatherings in public places.

The Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee discussed and agreed to launch the Youth Union branches across the province to carry out the activities of the whole union online. Under the guidance and direction of the Provincial Youth Union, 89 key units carefully prepared and created propaganda content for the activities. At the end of the first night of implementation, the Youth Union branches received great attention from union members and youths inside and outside the province.

In the coming time, if the epidemic situation continues to be complicated, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union will continue to mobilize Youth Union bases to apply this form of activity so that the movement can spread widely and achieve high efficiency.
