Children's representatives from across the country will "transform" into National Assembly deputies, participating in a mock session to discuss two hot topics: protecting children online and preventing violence and child abuse.

On the morning of September 10, the first mock session of the "Children's National Assembly" took place at the Dien Hong Meeting Room of the National Assembly, chaired by 263 child delegates.

The mock plenary session was attended by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and leaders of the Party, State, central and local departments, ministries and branches.

This is the first time in history that a "Children's Parliament" session has been held, aiming to promote children's right to participate in children's issues.

This also affirms the attention of Party, State and National Assembly leaders to the work of protecting, caring for and educating children.

At Mock Session, children role-play, pretending to be National Assembly delegates, participating in a National Assembly Session to discuss important issues.

The two topics chosen this time are Protecting children from healthy and creative interactions on the internet and preventing accidents, injuries, violence and child abuse.

The opinions of child delegates raised in the Mock Session will be sent to leaders of ministries, branches and agencies of the National Assembly.

Before that, the National Delegation of Outstanding Children attending the meeting was introduced, learned basic information about the National Assembly, trained in the skills of National Assembly Deputies and conducted a preliminary review in preparation for the Mock Plenary Session.

At the training session, outstanding young delegates nationwide were informed about the position and role of the National Assembly and National Assembly delegates, and were trained in skills and how to use interactive equipment at the National Assembly Building.
