Rare time Manh Cuong 'Uniquely' reveals about his young and beautiful wife like a hot girl
Playing the role of Dung "kinh" - a henchman of a drug lord in the movie "Doc dao", actor Manh Cuong said this is a role with multiple personalities, unpredictable and not necessarily as miserable as the audience commented.
Dung "glasses" is an interesting and unpredictable character.
- Having played many villain roles, how is Dung "kinh" in "Doc dao" different and special to you?
I have played many villain roles but Dung "respectful" inUniqueis the most multi-personality role, very different. He has a soft personality but is dangerous and unpredictable. Currently, who is Dung "glasses", what is his real personality are still big questions for the audience. That is the special point I really like about the character.

- How much of Dung "glasses"'s personality is similar or different from Manh Cuong in real life?
When I read the script, I imagined a lot about the character's personality. However, I did not take any of my own characteristics into Dung "glasses" except for his striving in life.
Dung is the boss's representative, doing everything to have a better position. In real life, I always try my best but with a more correct mindset and philosophy than the character.
Right now, I feel like I've achieved 80% of what I wanted to achieve when building and portraying this character.
- The director chose Manh Cuong for villain roles but often has a glossy appearance. Did you have any difficulty with Dung "glasses"'s appearance?
With each role, I want to research and develop the character so that the audience does not see any overlap with previous roles. When accepting the role, the director, the costume and makeup team and I discuss carefully about Dung "glasses"'s appearance.
The highlight of this character is the scarf which I really like. Although some viewers criticize this detail, there is a reason for everything.

-Even though he is the villain, Dung "kinh" is considered by the audience to be the most pitiful character in the film because of the "attitude" of the boss, wife and girlfriend. What do you think about this and do you feel sorry for the character?
I follow the audience's comments, but whether Dung "glasses" is really as pitiful as everyone thinks is still an unanswered question. The unpredictability of the character makes me find it interesting.
Wife is never jealous
- Having been active in the arts for about 10 years, Manh Cuong is familiar to audiences in supporting roles, mostly villains. Do you care about main or supporting roles or are you afraid of the audience hating you from the character?
I have been active in the arts since 2007, mainly playing villain roles for the past 10 years, so people call me an actor specializing in this genre.
Honestly, from stage to television, I like complex, colorful roles. Many people worry that playing a villain will bring bad luck to them, but I'm not afraid of that. Besides villains, I also play kings, lords, billionaires... If those roles "come true" to me, that would be great (laughs).
Whether the role is good or bad, the most important thing is to portray the characters in a way that they don't overlap in personality or appearance. I'm happy when the audience hates the character I play, because that shows that they sympathize with the fate of the character in the film.

- Will you stick with villain roles or do you want to change your image in the future?
I always want to experience many roles and will accept any role that is suitable, regardless of positive or negative.

- In "Doc Dao", when seeing her husband interacting intimately with his female co-star Thanh Hue like hugging and kissing, was his young, beautiful wife who looked like a hot girl jealous?
My wife was not jealous because she understood that it was work. She only told her son: "Dad is hugging another girl" when she saw intimate scenes with Thanh Hue.
In life, my wife and I share everything, from work to daily life, so we always trust each other and have not had any serious conflicts.
