The developments in episode 10 of the movie "The Borderline" became dramatic when the police force expanded the investigation, tightening the siege around the large-scale gambling ring. Based on the statements of the arrested subjects, the investigation agency identified a secret base related to Vinh Vien, the character considered to be the key. The arrest was carried out urgently, however, while Duong Nho fell into the net, Vien managed to escape in time, causing more difficulties for the investigation.
Billions of dollars and the accounts of provincial officials
At the Procuracy, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Bui Hang Thu (Hong Diem) received an important report from Prosecutor Thu Huong (Anh Dao). The initial investigation results on the cash flow showed complicated developments. Specifically, among the five accounts with unusual transactions with the XĐ22 e-wallet, two accounts were identified as belonging to provincial-level officials, including one from the People's Council and one from the Enforcement Agency. Another account suspected to be related to the Department of Construction is also being verified.
These transactions are of large value, from 5 to 8 billion VND each time and have occurred continuously in the last three months. The amount is then converted into points on the betting system. Recognizing this as a big step forward, Hang Thu has directed the need to closely coordinate with the investigation agency to retrieve data and clarify the origin of the money flow behind these accounts.
Tense battle of wits surrounding Dong Phong project
Along with the gambling case, suspicions surrounding the Dong Phong project continued to rise. During an intimate meal at home, Hang Thu and her husband had a meaningful conversation with their old classmate, Trien (Manh Truong). Hang Thu cleverly mentioned the denunciation letters and the fact that the project documents were approved too quickly, raising suspicions about the "hand behind".
In response, Trien appeared discreet and only answered in general terms: "Whether it is a group interest or not, let the competent authority decide." He also cleverly avoided further questions about Mr. Sach, saying that we should wait for the conclusion of the inspection team. The conversation showed the caution and calculation of the characters involved in this project.
Internal calculations and suspicions
In another development, Mr. Sach (People's Artist Trung Anh) proactively called his superiors, affirming that what Viet Dong did was for the common good and he had directed to review everything to prepare for the inspection team. This move shows that Mr. Sach is trying to take the initiative in the upcoming storms.
Meanwhile, internal conflicts also began to arise. Vinh, an inspector, went to Khac (Tien Loc) to complain and provoke his superior. Vinh set a trap, claiming that his superior was planning to "revive" Khac's past, causing Khac to begin to doubt his colleague. After that, Vinh continued to beg Khac to help him escape the gambling charge, and Khac introduced Vinh to Trien, and at the same time made an appointment to meet Trien to discuss work.
