Spreading the deeds of following Uncle Ho in Quy Hop

(Baonghean) - The implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in Quy Hop district has had a profound influence, creating a vibrant emulation movement among cadres, party members and people. Thereby, contributing to the successful implementation of the district's political, economic and social goals and tasks.

Chau Cuong commune was once known as a "hot spot" of disunity, violation of democracy, clan ideology, factionalism, mutual protection, low criticism and self-criticism, and violations of financial principles by cadres. Through a review in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (term XII), the Party Committee of the commune clearly identified the above shortcomings and built a roadmap to overcome them in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo.

To build internal solidarity, the Party Committee of the commune clearly analyzed the weaknesses of the cadre work, thereby proposing solutions to do well the work of planning, arranging, using, and perfecting cadres from the commune to the village and hamlet in the spirit of openness and democracy, especially focusing on training and arranging cadres with moral qualities and professional capacity. With a methodical process and in accordance with regulations, the cadre work for the new term 2021-2025 received high consensus in the Party Committee and Standing Committee.

Regarding the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, clearly realizing that in order to develop the commune, it is important to create a "breakthrough" in production thinking for the people. The Party Committee and the government of Chau Cuong commune determined that first of all, it is necessary to adjust the crop calendar, build internal irrigation, convert crops and livestock, introduce new varieties with high productivity and quality to improve production efficiency; at the same time, mobilize businesses and philanthropists in the area to invest in building infrastructure, especially roads.

Thanks to that, from a commune with small-scale rice production, Chau Cuong is now a key rice production center and the only commune in Quy Hop that produces 3 crops per year. Comrade Luu Van Diem - Chairman of Chau Cuong Commune People's Committee said: Thanks to the innovation in leadership methods that know how to gather solidarity, the Party's ideas are in line with the people's wishes, so the local policies are highly agreed upon by the people. That was affirmed in 2016 when for the first time, Chau Cuong Commune Party Committee achieved the title of Strong and Clean Party Committee.

In Chau Ly commune, the way to follow Uncle Ho is to focus on solving urgent problems for the people, prioritizing the things that the people need. A clear mark is the focus on leading the political system, mobilizing the people to contribute to opening a new road from Tham village to Set village. This is an urgent need of the local people, because before to go through these two villages, we had to take a detour.

The policy was supported by the people, as evidenced by the fact that the villagers voluntarily donated more than 2,000 square meters of garden land and contributed 150 million VND to open a new road about 6km long, paved with graded gravel for convenient travel. Along with that, the policy of clearing traffic safety corridors was also focused on by the Party Committee and the government. In the commune, there were 126 households violating traffic safety corridors, but through the process of propaganda and mobilization, most of the households voluntarily dismantled without being forced.

Clearly identifying this, cadres and party members in the entire Party Committee, especially key cadres, always raise awareness and responsibility in performing assigned duties and tasks as well as focus on training working style, innovating working style, enhancing cadres' prestige, and creating trust among the people".

At Quy Hop I High School Party Cell, along with the leadership to improve the quality of teaching and learning, the Party Cell pays special attention to moral and ideological education for students. For cadres and teachers, it is to promote the sense of responsibility, implement the ethical standards of teachers; help and tutor weak students, students in difficult circumstances, students at risk of dropping out of school, and classes with weak movements. In addition, the School organizes many activities to educate political ideology, life skills as well as career orientation for students to increasingly meet the human resource needs of society.

Implementing Directive 05-CT/TW of the Politburo, up to now, 63/63 Party organizations in Quy Hop district have developed implementation plans, organized for cadres and Party members to register to follow them, associated with the responsibilities of individuals, especially leaders. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee established a delegation to supervise, direct and organize the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo at 4 Party Committees of Chau Ly, Chau Loc, Tam Hop, Chau Cuong communes and the Party Cell of Quy Hop II High School. For the Party Executive Committee members and the Standing Committee members of the District Party Committee, following Uncle Ho's style is "close to the people, listening to the people's opinions", focusing on the grassroots, promptly directing the resolution of arising issues, grasping the people's aspirations.

In particular, after the District Party Congress, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee issued Decision No. 111-QD/HU dated December 25, 2015 on the establishment of a grassroots steering working group with working regulations. Accordingly, each member of the working group proactively develops a plan and implements the grassroots regime, participating in activities with Party cells at least once a quarter. In particular, the district Party Committee and government have focused on directing and organizing direct dialogues with the people to resolve some existing problems at the grassroots level, focusing on the areas of granting land use right certificates, site clearance, land disputes, labor policies, etc. Thereby, the responsibility of leaders in managing and operating work and managing cadres, civil servants and public employees in the fields under their charge has been enhanced.

In particular, from the district to the grassroots level, many movements to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style have been launched and received enthusiastic responses from cadres, party members and people, such as the program of donating 13 breeding buffaloes and cows to poor households in remote communes; the program "Warm winter" for the poor; "Bowl of love porridge" serving poor patients on Saturdays and Sundays at the district general hospital...

Regarding the direction of implementing Directive 05-CT/TW in the coming time, comrade Ho Le Ngoc - Secretary of Quy Hop District Party Committee said: "First of all, it is necessary to promote the pioneering and exemplary role of key leaders, heads of branches, party committees of agencies, units, and localities for cadres, party members, and people to follow. At the same time, it is necessary to discover and replicate advanced models and typical examples of the movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style to spread widely throughout the Party Committee."
