The Provincial Agencies Bloc Youth Union is a gathering place for well-trained young cadres who always demonstrate a spirit of initiative, creativity, and volunteerism in each professional field.

“Fire tests gold” is probably not far away but in the ongoing fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. Each agency under the Provincial Government Office Block has its own way of operating most effectively, including the enthusiastic contributions of the youth, especially the Youth Union members and youth of the Department of Health - the faces at the “front line” of epidemic prevention and control.

With 120 union members and youths, distributed in 5 affiliated branches, in addition to undertaking professional tasks, the Department of Health's grassroots union has had extremely practical activities, aimed at the people.

“As people working in the health sector, since the outbreak of the epidemic, we have always closely monitored and promptly updated the situation in Vietnam as well as in the world, to develop appropriate plans and accurately advise superiors in implementing a number of professional activities. In addition, following the policy of the Provincial Party Committee Youth Union, we have based on the actual situation, promoted available human and material resources, and at the same time sought more social support, joined hands to contribute, and sponsored medicines and medical supplies to organize effective epidemic prevention and control activities,” shared Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Health, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

The professional strengths of this team are fully exploited and promoted in volunteer activities for the community, bringing about clear results, gaining the trust and praise of the people. For example, propaganda activities on epidemic prevention and control and distributing 1,500 masks and 250 bottles of free hand sanitizer to people at crowded places such as Vinh station, the city's Northern Bus Station, Vinh International Airport...

Or in the coordination with pharmaceutical companies, 500 masks, 100 bottles of hand sanitizer, 320 bottles of eye sanitizer and 400 tubes of vitamin C were distributed to SOS Children's Village and Minh Anh Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education... Along with that, there was an initiative implemented at the CDC Youth Union to make 400 splash shields to support the medical staff here...

Also aiming for the goal of community life, accompanying and sharing with the people, based on the characteristics of their profession, the union members and youth of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) organize activities that bring many practical values.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has one of the strongest Youth Unions in the Provincial Union of Agencies with more than 300 members from 14 affiliated branches, working in many different localities, so they have the ability to reach out to activities spreading from the plains to the remote villages of the border areas. The tasks they choose to implement truly demonstrate the "nature" of the agricultural sector, very close to the people.

Mr. Vu Quy Phat - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the activities of young people in the agricultural sector have contributed very positively to the effective application of science and technology in practice with local people.

Preliminary statistics show that in the period from 2015 to 2020, the technology transfer team of the agricultural sector has organized 21 training courses with the participation of more than 1,470 trainees. Of which, there are 6 training courses to raise awareness for young people about new rural construction and 15 training courses to transfer techniques to young people in communes in the districts and towns: Dien Chau, Hoang Mai, Quynh Luu, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Thai Hoa, Que Phong...

Contents such as cage fish farming techniques, forest planting, agricultural extension... are calculated and selected to suit the characteristics of the situation and natural conditions in each locality, helping people understand and apply science and technology in production, which is a useful "fishing rod" to sustainably improve people's livelihoods.

In addition to the training trips, the Youth Union of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development also had programs to visit, give gifts and encourage 4 fishing families whose boats were burned at Lach Quen, Quynh Luu; donate 250 warm clothes to students of My Ly 2 Primary School and 150 kg of fish fry to My Ly commune, Ky Son district; donate a children's playground worth 15 million VND to Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district...

There are many other activities of the Youth Union organizations of the Provincial CCQ Block that deserve to be commended and praised, such as: the Customs Department Youth Union with its regular charity porridge activities; the Provincial Social Insurance Youth Union with its program of union members voluntarily working overtime to make and distribute free health insurance cards to people; the Nghe An Newspaper Youth Union with its activities to accompany and help the poor commune of Xieng My (Tuong Duong)...

With their enthusiasm, positive thinking, and willingness to devote themselves to the community, the union members and youth of the Provincial Party Committee are "ambassadors" who help spread sustainable values ​​in society, contributing to many practical actions to serve the people.

Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Cong Minh said that up to now, there have been many network projects in the province that bear the mark of the youth of the Provincial Party Committee. In the first few months of 2021 alone, towards the 90 peak days of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Provincial Youth Union of the Provincial Party Committee has supported 3 playgrounds, including: 1 playground for children in Huu Khuong commune, Tuong Duong district, worth 13 million VND; 1 volleyball court in Dooc May commune, Ky Son district, worth 15 million VND and 1 children's playground at the beach of Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district, worth 25 million VND.
