Nghe An's seafood processing villages are busy during the Tet holiday season.

With less than two months until the 2025 Lunar New Year, considered the biggest production period of the year, people in coastal villages throughout the province are busy preparing seafood products to supply the market.

ghép 3 — Vacuum-packed grilled mackerel, sun-dried mackerel, sun-dried scad… are among the best-selling items during the year-end holiday season. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tai, owner of a seafood processing facility in Nghi Thuy (Vinh City), said: “Besides whole fresh mackerel, grilled mackerel and sun-dried mackerel are very popular in the market. Steamed scad fish with sugarcane smoke – a specialty of the people of Nghi Thuy coastal village – is also a delicious dish on the ancestral altars of many families in Nghe An province. In Nghi Thuy, there are currently 5-7 households preserving this traditional craft due to the meticulous preparation.
