On the afternoon of September 13, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a discussion on "The Front listens to the voices of prestigious people among ethnic minorities in 2022". The chair was comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Over the past years, the Party and the State have had many important policies and guidelines to develop the socio-economy of ethnic minority areas. The Fatherland Front and mass organizations have actively coordinated to organize propaganda activities and mobilize ethnic minorities to promote their internal strength, overcome difficulties, respond to patriotic emulation movements to develop the economy and society; preserve and promote cultural identity.
Thereby, contributing to gradually changing the material and spiritual life of people in mountainous areas in general and ethnic minorities in particular. In that result, there is a very important role of village elders and prestigious people in ethnic minorities in promoting their exemplary role to propagate and mobilize people to unite and compete in labor, production, economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, and firmly protect the borders of the Fatherland.

Prestigious people always accompany cadres of the Fatherland Front at all levels, promoting their role and prestige to mobilize villagers to strictly comply with the law, help each other to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, support the construction of great solidarity houses, prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic, and build cultural and civilized villages and hamlets.
At the seminar, representatives of prestigious people among ethnic minorities acknowledged that the Party, the State, and the Fatherland Front at all levels have always paid attention and taken care to improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities. At the same time, they shared some experiences and methods in propaganda, mobilization and promoting the role of prestigious people.

Through the discussion, delegates also expressed and sent many opinions and wishes such as low policies for cadres in hamlets and villages; reducing loan interest rates to create conditions for ethnic minorities to borrow capital to escape poverty; preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities; solving jobs for children of ethnic minorities, especially those who graduated from university with good or excellent grades...
Some opinions also recommended some specific issues in some villages and communes such as supporting the construction of irrigation works to serve people in developing production and livestock; building bridges for people...
Delegates also recommended the need for effective solutions in monitoring the implementation of support programs and policies of the Party and State for ethnic minorities. Attention should be paid to and guidance should be given to prestigious people among ethnic minorities to participate more and more effectively in social activities.

Speaking at the seminar, Chairwoman of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh acknowledged, highly appreciated and sincerely thanked the extremely effective contributions of village elders and prestigious people among ethnic minorities in the province in accompanying and supporting the activities of the Front in residential areas.
The Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also directly explained a number of issues that the delegates clearly understood, thereby widely propagating to the people. For opinions and recommendations under the authority of departments, branches and sectors, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee received, synthesized and made recommendations.

Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh expressed her hope that in the coming time, with their own prestige and experience, the prestigious elders will continue to promote their roles and responsibilities, effectively conveying the Party and State's policies and guidelines on ethnic groups, mountainous development, etc. to the people; encouraging people to be self-reliant in economic development, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, contributing to gradually improving the appearance of rural mountainous areas.
