Learning from the experience of some previous local farm models, Mr. Ngoc's family mainly raises grass carp, common carp and silver carp. These are fish species that eat impurities from livestock farming, so they can take advantage of water layers, ensure environmental hygiene and are a fish species favored by the market. With experience in limiting fish diseases, he regularly cleans the pond, changes the water and after 3 years drains and uses lime powder to clean the pond environment.
As for other livestock, chickens and pigs are raised together, while ducks are raised separately right next to the pond and are cared for differently. Sharing his experience in raising them, Mr. Ngoc said: Ducks lay eggs at night and do not like noise, so they cannot be raised together with chickens. In the early stages of each type of livestock, industrial feed must be used, and in the final stages, only corn bran, beer residue, and cassava residue are used. Thanks to self-supply of breeds and application of disease prevention techniques, the livestock of the farm have developed well.
