(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 24, the Board of Directors of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital organized for the first time the program "Hospital leaders meet and exchange experiences with university and postgraduate doctors and pharmacists, first 6 months of the year". This is a breakthrough in management and operation activities, aiming to develop the Hospital to be worthy of the North Central Regional Medical Center.

Focus on improving the quality of medical examination and treatment

At the meeting, the Hospital representative reported on the results of operations in the first 6 months of the year and development orientation for the last 6 months of the year.

Accordingly, Nghe An General Hospital currently has 54 departments, offices, centers and affiliated teams, including 48 departments and offices (9 functional departments and 8 paraclinical departments, 31 clinical departments); 3 centers and 3 affiliated teams. As of June 2019, there are 1,302 staff, civil servants, public employees and workers; of which 385 have university degrees and 163 have postgraduate degrees.

In recent years, the hospital has invested in modern, advanced facilities and equipment and focused on training and improving the qualifications of its human resources. Thanks to that, the hospital has effectively implemented a number of advanced, new and difficult techniques such as: neurological intervention, cardiovascular intervention, electrophysiological burning of the heart muscle, complex open heart surgery, in vitro fertilization, multidisciplinary endoscopic surgery, continuous blood filtration, gene mapping, etc.

In the first 6 months of 2019, the hospital received nearly 143.9 thousand patients, an increase of 103.3% over the same period in 2018; The number of inpatients was over 49.2 thousand people, an increase of 111.3% over the same period in 2018;The number of major surgeries was 10,158, an increase of 107% over the same period in 2018.

Regarding the organizational structure of the Hospital, from January 1, 2019, the Stroke Center and the Department of Pediatrics - Neonatology have officially come into operation; Complete the procedures to apply for the establishment of the Center for Reproductive Support; Develop a project to change the name of the Department of Internal Medicine A to the Department of Internal Medicine A - Geriatrics; Prepare a plan for autonomy in organizational structure, personnel and finance in group 2, Decree 85/2012/ND-CP of the Government for the second time (2020 - 2022 period), submit to competent authorities for approval.

Orientation, in the last 6 months of the year, the Hospital continues to invest in facilities, medical equipment, focus on training in many fields, to deploy new and high-tech techniques; complete the construction of the Job Position Project to prepare for the recruitment of civil servants; gradually build and implement the Electronic Health Project; Upgrade the application software system and hospital management to achieve a "Smart Hospital".

With the theme "Solidarity, humanity, focusing on developing specialized, multi-disciplinary, multi-specialty healthcare to bring Nghe An General Friendship Hospital to the level of the North Central region", at the meeting, the hospital leaders and university and postgraduate doctors and pharmacists exchanged and shared experiences in an enthusiastic and open manner.

There are 15 opinions from university and postgraduate doctors and pharmacists focusing on reflecting and providing solutions.on issues: Hospital professional development (development of aesthetic and dermatological specialties, improvement of medical examination and treatment processes,testing procedures, prescription issues, ensuring sterility in operating rooms and hospital infection control, hospital quality management activities, etc.); training and fostering human resources; policies, regimes, renovation and application of hospital facilities and medical equipment; administrative reform (application of IT in patient payment procedures, medical examination and treatment procedures), coordination of departments, rooms, and centers in the hospital and promoting communication, etc.

After listening and receiving opinions from doctors and pharmacists of the Hospital, the Board of Directors, heads of functional departments and heads of paraclinical departments answered the above issues in detail, sympathetically and reasonably.

The meeting and experience exchange between the leaders of Nghe An General Friendship Hospital and university and postgraduate doctors and pharmacists demonstrated new thinking and breakthroughs of the Hospital Board of Directors in direction and management; demonstrated the spirit of solidarity, democracy, and promoting the strength of the collective for a common goal.

The content of meetings with university and postgraduate doctors and pharmacists has been included in the working regulations of the Hospital: Every year, the Hospital will organize 2 meetings and exchange experiences, each time with a separate topic, reviewing previously implemented content, and continuing to propose directions for implementing new content.
