Leaders of countries congratulate Vietnam on National Day
Leaders of many countries around the world have sent congratulatory messages and letters to the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of National Day.
Leaders of the People's Republic of China, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Kingdom of Cambodia, Republic of Cuba, Russian Federation, Republic of Singapore, Kingdom of Thailand, Republic of the Union of Myanmar sent congratulatory messages and letters to the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.

General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.
Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China Li Zhanshu sent a congratulatory message to National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
In their congratulatory messages, the leaders of the Party, State, Government and National Assembly of China highly appreciated the achievements that Vietnam has made in recent times; expressed their belief that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will certainly successfully achieve the goals set by the 12th Party Congress, and soon successfully build a socialist Vietnam with a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.
Chinese leaders affirmed that China attaches importance to developing relations with Vietnam and is willing to work with Vietnam to promote the stable and sustainable development of the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, towards the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year.
General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, President of the Lao People's Democratic Republic Bounnhang Vorachith; Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith and Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
In the telegram, the Lao high-ranking leaders expressed their joy at the great achievements in the cause of building and developing the brotherly country of Vietnam; affirmed that despite the complicated developments in the regional and international situation, the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States and peoples of Laos and Vietnam have always been preserved and nurtured, becoming a priceless common asset, the law of existence and development, and the decisive factor for the victory of the revolutionary cause of each country.
The leaders of the Lao People's Democratic Republic expressed their deep gratitude and sincere thanks to the Party, State and people of Vietnam for their great, valuable, timely and effective support and assistance to the revolutionary cause of Laos; affirmed that the Lao Party, State and people will continue to work with Vietnamese comrades to preserve, nurture and develop the special Laos-Vietnam relationship to be forever green and everlasting."
Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni sent a congratulatory letter to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong; Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Acting President of the Cambodian Senate Sim Ka sent a congratulatory letter to National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
The Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) also sent a congratulatory message to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
In their congratulatory letters, the Cambodian leaders sincerely congratulated the great achievements that the Party, Government and people of Vietnam have attained in recent times under the correct and wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position in the region and internationally; especially congratulating Vietnam on being elected as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 term.
The Cambodian leaders highly appreciated the solidarity, traditional friendship and comprehensive, long-term and sustainable cooperation between the two Parties, two National Assemblies, Governments and peoples; affirmed their determination to continuously foster the bilateral relationship; and expressed their belief that the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship will continue to be consolidated and enhanced, increasingly developing deeply and sustainably, for the common interests of the two countries, for peace, cooperation and common prosperity in the region.
President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Raul Castro Ruz sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong.
In their congratulatory messages, the leaders, on behalf of the people and Government of the Republic of Cuba, sent best wishes to the senior leaders of Vietnam; expressed their belief that Cuba and Vietnam will continue to promote the historical brotherly relationship and increasingly deepened cooperation; and affirmed their desire to strengthen the historical brotherly relationship, solidarity and cooperation between the two peoples, two Parties and two Governments.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong; Prime Minister of the Russian Federation D. Medvedev sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation V. Matvienko and Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation V. Volodin sent congratulatory messages to Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
In the telegram, the Russian leaders highly appreciated the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia, which has been developing increasingly deeply in all fields, especially in economics, trade and investment with many large projects in energy, industry, infrastructure, etc.
The Russian leader expressed his belief that activities within the framework of the Vietnam Year in Russia and the Russia Year in Vietnam in 2019-2020 will create new momentum to promote bilateral and multilateral cooperation for the benefit of the people of the two countries.
Singaporean President Halimah Yacob sent a congratulatory letter to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong; Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
The Singaporean leader emphasized that over the past years, Vietnam has made great progress in all aspects; making Vietnam one of the fastest growing economies in the region, an attractive destination for foreign investors, including many Singaporean companies.
The Singaporean leader expressed his delight that Vietnam and Singapore have built a strong Strategic Partnership, with a solid foundation of close political relations, increasingly deep people-to-people exchanges, and effective and substantive economic cooperation; and affirmed that he will support and cooperate closely when Vietnam holds the position of ASEAN Chair in 2020 and a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2020-2021 term.
His Excellency Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Uyn Min sent a congratulatory letter to General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong; State Counselor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi sent a congratulatory letter to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Vice President U Myint Swe and Vice President Henry Van Thio sent congratulatory letters to Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh.
Myanmar leaders highly appreciated the friendship and comprehensive cooperative partnership between Vietnam and Myanmar that has been continuously strengthened in recent times; expressed their belief that the relationship between the two countries will continue to develop and strengthen in the coming years, for the common interests of the two peoples, for peace and stability in the region and solidarity and unity in ASEAN.
