Leaders of countries send telegrams and letters congratulating the 76th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day

Leaders of countries have sent telegrams and letters of congratulations to the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day.

On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2021), the leaders of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the People's Republic of China, the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Republic of Cuba, the Russian Federation, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Brunei Darussalam, the Republic of Indonesia, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the Republic of Singapore sent congratulatory messages and letters to the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam.

*** General Secretary of the Central Executive CommitteeLao People's Revolutionary Party, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith, Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh and National Assembly Chairman Saysomphone Phomvihane jointly sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

In the telegram, the Lao leaders warmly congratulated Vietnam on its great, comprehensive and historic achievements in the cause of national construction, protection and development over the past 76 years, especially during the 35-year period of renovation and international integration; considering Vietnam's success a source of encouragement and strong motivation for Laos.

The Lao Party, State and people are proud to see that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam continue to develop extensively and effectively, becoming a priceless common asset and a decisive factor in the victory of the revolutionary cause of the two countries; express deep gratitude to Vietnam for always providing Laos with great, timely and effective assistance; affirm that no matter how complicated the regional and international situation becomes, the Lao Party, State and people will continue to work with the fraternal Party, State and people of Vietnam to preserve and nurture this rare relationship that will last forever with the two nations. We wish the Party, State and people of Vietnam to continue to achieve even greater successes in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and achieving important development goals in the coming decades.

*** General Secretary of the Central Executive CommitteeCommunist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Pham Minh Chinh; Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China Li Li Zhanshu sent a congratulatory message to Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue.

In their congratulatory messages, the leaders of the Party, State and National Assembly of China expressed their joy and appreciation for the achievements that Vietnam has made in the cause of Party and national building, especially the great success of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the efforts of the Party, State and people of Vietnam in responding to the Covid-19 pandemic, maintaining economic development and social stability; believing that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will successfully carry out the tasks set by the 13th National Congress. China attaches great importance to the development of China-Vietnam relations and is ready to work with Vietnam to promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of the relations between the two Parties and the two countries, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.

In the letter and telegram, the Cambodian leaders congratulated and highly appreciated the great achievements Vietnam has made through historical periods; expressed their belief that under the wise leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the country and people of Vietnam will successfully implement the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan for the 2021-2025 period and the 10-year Socio-Economic Development Strategy for the 2021-2030 period in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, towards the goal of a rich people, democracy, fairness, civilization, becoming a strong and prosperous Vietnam by 2045.

The Cambodian leaders also firmly believe that the close and good relationship between the two Parties, two countries and peoples of Vietnam and Cambodia will continue to develop increasingly strongly under the motto of "good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability", making positive contributions to peace, stability and security of the region, the ASEAN Community and the world.

*** First Secretary of the Central Executive CommitteeCommunist Party of Cuba,Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, and National Assembly Chairman Esteban Lazo Hernandez sent congratulatory messages to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

In the message, the Cuban leaders, on behalf of the Party, State, Government and people of Cuba, sincerely sent the best wishes to the Party, State, Government and people of Vietnam; expressed deep pride in the historical solidarity that has been nurtured and consolidated in the common struggle for independence, freedom and development; and affirmed the desire to continue to further promote the special traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

***President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putinsent congratulatory messages to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and President Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin sent congratulatory letters to Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue.

In congratulatory letters and telegrams, Russian senior leaders emphasized that Vietnam has recently achieved many successes in socio-economic development and has high prestige in the international arena.

The Russian Federation leader affirmed that the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia are constantly being strengthened in all fields, including economics, trade, science, technology, and humanities; many potential projects in the fields of industry, energy, etc. are being actively implemented by both sides.

The Russian high-ranking leaders expressed their readiness to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam on all channels to develop the relationship between the two countries dynamically and substantially, meeting the aspirations and interests of the people of the two countries, for peace, security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.

In the letter, the Sultan of Brunei sent warm congratulations to the country and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the National Day, expressing his belief that the Vietnam - Brunei Comprehensive Partnership has been and will continue to develop, strengthening the friendship and valuable relationship between the two countries, especially in the context that the two countries will celebrate the 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations next year; affirming that as the Chair of ASEAN 2021, Brunei highly appreciates Vietnam's valuable support for Brunei as well as Vietnam's contributions to ASEAN.

***Indonesian President Joko WidodoSend a congratulatory letter to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

In the letter, the Indonesian President expressed his sincere belief that the spirit of Independence Day will inspire the Vietnamese Government and people to overcome the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to prosper; affirming that Indonesia and Vietnam always cooperate closely in many areas, both within the framework of the Strategic Partnership, in ASEAN and at multilateral forums. The Indonesian President believes that the relationship between the two countries will become increasingly stronger, together overcoming challenges and rising strongly after the pandemic.

***Malaysian King Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in BillahSend a congratulatory letter to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

In the letter, the King sent his warmest wishes to the President and people of Vietnam; expressed his joy at the traditional friendship and good bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Vietnam that has been continuously developed and expanded over the past 40 years. The Malaysian King expressed his belief that the Malaysia-Vietnam relationship will continue to flourish for the benefit of the people of both countries; wished the country and people of Vietnam peace, development and prosperity.

***His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongorn of the Kingdom of Thailandsent a congratulatory letter to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha sent a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

In the letter and telegram, the Thai leaders sent their most sincere congratulations to the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of National Day, September 2; expressed their joy that the bilateral relationship between Thailand and Vietnam continues to develop well despite the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Thai leaders affirmed that as the two countries celebrate the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year, the Thailand-Vietnam Enhanced Strategic Partnership will continue to move forward.

***Singapore President Halimah YacobSend a congratulatory letter to President Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

In the letter, the President of Singapore shared that the past year was a difficult year for the world as it had to deal with the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic; in that context, Vietnam and Singapore remained side by side and bilateral relations continued to be strengthened and developed; Singapore and Vietnam cooperated closely in multilateral forums, especially ASEAN. The President of Singapore affirmed that the framework of the Singapore-Vietnam Strategic Partnership will continue to help the people of the two countries become even closer.

***US Secretary of State Antony Blinkensent congratulations to the Vietnamese people on the occasion of National Day September 2.

Secretary of State Blinken emphasized that in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic causing heavy damage in the world and in both Vietnam and the US, the two countries have supported each other in difficult times through medical cooperation, donation of medical equipment, most recently the US support of vaccines for Vietnam.

The establishment of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Southeast Asia Regional Office in Hanoi by the United States is a new platform for strengthening health security cooperation with Vietnam and the entire Indo-Pacific region.

According to Secretary of State Blinken, the Vietnam-US relationship was raised to new heights in 2021 thanks to joint efforts to overcome the past and move towards a brighter future for the people of both countries.

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s speech at the Climate Change Leaders Summit highlighted the potential of the two countries to work together to combat the climate crisis. The visits to Vietnam by Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin reinforced the strength of the U.S.-Vietnam Comprehensive Partnership and the U.S. commitment to a strong, independent, and prosperous Vietnam.

Secretary of State Blinken congratulated the Government and people of Vietnam on the occasion of National Day and expressed hope that the two countries will cooperate closely in rebuilding better after the Covid-19 pandemic./.
