Visit and wish a happy new year to Nghe An province,Xieng Khouang Province Working GroupThe delegation led by Mr. Nobiha Tongpao - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of Xieng Khouang province sent best wishes to the Party Committee, government and people of Nghe An province. At the same time, he hoped that the friendship and solidarity between the two sides would be increasingly sustainable.

Expressing gratitude and acknowledging the sincere feelings from the government and people of Xieng Khouang province for Nghe An, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy also sent greetings and congratulations to the leaders and people of Xieng Khouang province.

He emphasized that the development and promotion of the cooperative relationship between Nghe An and Xieng Khouang provinces has contributed to strengthening the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two Parties and States of Vietnam and Laos in both breadth and depth.

In recent times, people-to-people diplomacy has been effectively implemented. Between Nghe An and Xieng Khouang provinces, there are 10 pairs of villages and between 4 Border Guard Stations, 3 Border Guard Companies, and 1 Police Station.

Regarding the patrolling, controlling and firmly protecting the sovereignty and security of the border, the functional forces of the two provinces have well resolved the incidents, ensuring political security and social order and safety in the area. In addition, they have proactively and promptly informed each other about the situations related to the territorial border as well as coordinated and helped the people on both sides of the border when facing difficulties.

In the field of education, Nghe An province has been training 273 officials, students and pupils of Xieng Khouang province at colleges and universities in the area.

In the 2019-2020 school year alone, Nghe An province helped train human resources based on the signed minutes and the proposal documents of the neighboring province, receiving Vietnamese language training, university and master's degrees for 49 people in Xieng Khouang province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Thai Thanh Quy hopes that from the achievements, the cooperative relationship between the Party Committee, government and people of the two provinces will be forever sustainable.

The Chairman of the Lao Front for National Construction of Bolikhamxay province affirmed that over the past time, the special friendship and cooperation between Nghe An province and Bolikhamxay province has continued to develop and achieved good results. In particular, investment, production and business activities of Nghe An enterprises in Lao provinces, including Bolikhamxay province, have been promoted.

International travel businesses in Nghe An province have also stepped up cooperation with businesses in Bolikhamxay province to exploit the tourist route 8 from Nghe An to Bolikhamxay - Vientiane Capital and vice versa.

Along with that, the security and order situation on the border between Nghe An and Bolikhamxay has been basically stable in recent times; the border system and national border markers have been safely protected; ProjectThe “Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Lao PDR on resolving the issue of spontaneous migration and unregistered marriages in the border areas of the two countries” has been effectively implemented.

Promoting those achievements, the Bolikhamxay provincial delegation hopes to promote more effective cooperation and coordination with Nghe An in all fields.

Working delegation of Savannakhet provinceThe delegation led by Mr. Thon-keo Phut-tha-kay-nha-lat - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Deputy Governor of Savannakhet province also visited and wished a Happy New Year to Nghe An province.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Hoa said that for Savannakhet province, the main cooperation activities are in the field of education and training.

From the 2012 school year up to now, based on the request of Savannakhet province, Nghe An province has received Vietnamese language training at Nghe An Pedagogical College and university-level specialized training at the following schools: Vinh Medical University, Vinh University, Vinh Technical Pedagogical University, Nghe An University of Economics with a total of 88 students.

This is a solid foundation to make the relationship between Nghe An and Savannakhet provinces increasingly sustainable.
