Lao PDR leaders send condolences on the passing of General Le Duc Anh
Comrade Le Duc Anh has made important contributions to strengthening and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam.

Lao newspaper Pasaxon (People) reported on April 23 that the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction sent condolences to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly of Vietnam, the Government of Vietnam and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi.
The telegram reads:
"On behalf of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the National Assembly, the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction, we would like to express our deepest condolences on the passing of General Le Duc Anh, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, former member of the Politburo of the Party Central Committee, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th tenures, and former National Assembly Delegate, 6th, 8th, 9th tenures.
We highly appreciate the great contributions of comrade Le Duc Anh in the past struggle for national independence as well as in the cause of protecting and developing Vietnam for more than 80 years.
Comrade Le Duc Anh has made important contributions to strengthening and developing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam over the past time.
The passing of comrade Le Duc Anh is not only the loss of a beloved leader of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, but also the loss of a close and intimate friend and comrade of the Party, State and people of Laos.
In this moment of sorrow, the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the National Assembly, the Government of the Lao People's Democratic Republic and the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction would like to express our deepest condolences to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnamese people, as well as the family, relatives and friends of comrade Le Duc Anh"./.
