Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of national reunification
On the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, on the morning of April 26, the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths, visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, offered incense, and commemorated heroic martyrs.

Attending the ceremony were Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue; Permanent member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan.

Former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former President Nguyen Xuan Phuc; former Chairmen of the National Assembly: Nguyen Van An, Nguyen Sinh Hung, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; Politburo members, Secretaries of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers, and many leaders, former leaders of the Party, State and leaders of central departments, ministries, branches and organizations attended the memorial service.

Before the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation expressed their infinite gratitude and respectfully remembered his great contributions to the revolutionary cause of our Party and nation. He devoted his whole life to the people and the country, leading our Party and people to glorious victories. The delegation's wreath bore the inscription: "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".
The history of the country will forever be marked by the moment at 11:30 am on April 30, 1975 when the revolutionary flag flew on the roof of the Independence Palace - the last stronghold of the Saigon government. From here, the South was completely liberated, and Vietnam was unified.

49 years after liberation, Vietnam, from a poor country, has overcome all hardships and challenges, gradually achieved great victories, becoming one of the countries in the group of high-growth countries in the region and the world. Looking back on the past 49 years, we are even more proud of the heroic history of the nation as well as the unceasing efforts of the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people to achieve the above achievements. These are the important premises to help our entire Party, the entire people and the entire army continue to strive to create even greater and more brilliant achievements, bringing the country to further development and integration.


Next, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Memorial on Bac Son Street.

In a solemn atmosphere, the Party and State leaders expressed their gratitude to the nation's outstanding sons who fought bravely and sacrificed their lives for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for the happiness of the people. The wreath of the delegation bore the inscription: "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".
On the same morning, delegations from the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense; Central Public Security Party Committee - Ministry of Public Security; Hanoi City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee... came to lay wreaths, visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and commemorate heroic martyrs.
