Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum on National Day

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, this morning, a delegation of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

The delegation attending the funeral included: General Secretary To Lam; President Luong Cuong; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; along with many leaders and former leaders of the Party, State, leaders of departments, ministries, branches and Hanoi City.

The delegation's wreath bore the words "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".

With infinite gratitude, the Party and State leaders respectfully commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader and national liberation hero. He devoted his whole life to the people and the country, leading our Party and people to glorious victories, making our nation and our country shine. His thoughts and career are invaluable assets, a torch illuminating the path for our nation to walk steadily toward the future.

On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, solemnly announcing to the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

Tomorrow at Ba Dinh Square, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Hanoi City will solemnly celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

After visiting President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, the delegation laid wreaths, offered incense, and commemorated the heroic martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Monument on Bac Son Street.

The delegation's wreath bore the words "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates paid tribute to the nation's outstanding sons who sacrificed their blood and bones, heroically, steadfastly, fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national reunification, socialism and noble international obligations.
