Party and State leaders visit President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on the occasion of National Day September 2

The funeral was attended by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien. Standing members of the Secretariat, Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries, Vice Presidents, National Assembly Vice Chairmen, Deputy Prime Ministers, and many other Party and State leaders, as well as leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, and organizations.

With infinite gratitude, the Delegation expressed their respect and tribute to the great contributions ofPresident Ho Chi Minhfor the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. He devoted his whole life to the people and the country, leading our Party and our people to glorious victories, making our nation and our country shine. The wreath of the Delegation bears the inscription "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".

76 years ago, on September 2, 1945, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. He affirmed: “Vietnam has the right to enjoy freedom and independence, and in fact has become a free and independent country. The entire Vietnamese people are determined to devote all their spirit and strength, their lives and property to maintain that freedom and independence.” President Ho Chi Minh’s aspiration for independence, freedom and happiness has become an extremely great source of motivation and strength, motivating the Vietnamese people to overcome all difficulties and challenges.

Currently, the entire Party, people and army are making every effort to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, promote the movement to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, and take drastic measures to prevent and repel the Covid-19 pandemic and protect people's health. Ho Chi Minh's will and aspiration for independence, freedom and happiness continue to be applied and creatively developed to encourage and promote the nation's tradition of patriotism, solidarity, self-reliance, mutual love and affection, overcome difficulties and obstacles, and firmly step on the path of innovation and development, for a Vietnam with a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

Next, the delegation of the Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Monument, Bac Son Street, Hanoi.

The delegation bowed in memory of the heroic martyrs - the nation's outstanding sons who did not spare their blood and bones, bravely fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people. The delegation's wreath bore the inscription "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".

Also this morning, the delegation of the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense, the Central Public Security Party Committee - Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hanoi City Party Committee - People's Committee... visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and laid wreaths in memory of the Heroic Martyrs at the Heroic Martyrs Monument./.
