On the morning of May 18th, commemorating the 123rd anniversary of the birth of the great President Ho Chi Minh (May 19th, 1890 - May 19th, 2013), a delegation from the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the President, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and paid respects at the Mausoleum of Uncle Ho, the beloved father of the Vietnamese nation.

The delegation of the Party and State visiting President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum included: General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung, and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Huynh Dam.

Former General Secretaries Nong Duc Manh and Le Kha Phieu; former President Tran Duc Luong; former Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Van An; former Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Pham The Duyet; members of the Politburo, Secretaries of the Central Committee of the Party, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, Vice Prime Ministers; leaders of several central ministries and agencies; and veteran revolutionaries attended the memorial ceremony.

The wreath laid by the delegation bore the inscription "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh."

Also on the morning of May 18th, delegations from the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the city of Hanoi, and the Steering Committee for coordinating activities at the Ba Dinh historical and cultural relic complex laid wreaths and paid respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh.
