Party and State leaders visit late Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo
On July 11, 2022, the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam opened a condolence book in memory of the late Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a wreath to pay tribute to former Chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party and late Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, on behalf of senior Vietnamese leaders, visited and signed the condolence book at the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam. Also attending were leaders of several central ministries and branches.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue sent a wreath to pay tribute to the late Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.

The Vietnamese high-ranking leaders expressed their deep condolences and sent the deepest condolences of the Party, State and people of Vietnam to the Liberal Democratic Party, the Government, the people of Japan and the family of the late Prime Minister Abe Shinzo; said that during his long tenure as Prime Minister of Japan, Mr. Abe left many special and meaningful marks in building and strengthening the Vietnam-Japan extensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia; the special affection and valuable support that Mr. Abe gave to the country and people of Vietnam as well as the Vietnam-Japan friendly cooperation relationship will always be appreciated and forever remembered by the Vietnamese leaders and people.
The Vietnamese high-ranking leaders expressed their hope that the Japanese leaders and people and Mr. Abe's family will soon overcome this great pain and loss; and hope that the two countries will preserve and further develop the good Vietnam-Japan relationship.

On the same day, Politburo member, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Parliamentarians Group Truong Thi Mai, Chairman of the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association To Huy Rua and many leaders of ministries, branches, localities, people's friendship organizations and many people from all walks of life came to pay their respects and sign the condolence book for the late Prime Minister Abe Shinzo.
