Quynh Luu district leaders visit and congratulate pagodas on Buddha's Birthday
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 23, leaders of Quynh Luu district visited and congratulated Buddhist dignitaries and Buddhists at pagodas in the district on the occasion of Buddha's Birthday 2013.
Leaders of Quynh Luu district presented flowers of congratulations at An Thai pagoda.
At An Thai Pagoda in Quynh Long Commune, Mr. Ho Ngoc Dung - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee, on behalf of the delegation, sent Buddha's Birthday greetings to Buddhist dignitaries and Buddhists in the district. He highly appreciated the results that Buddhism in the district has achieved in the past time, contributing to the overall socio-economic success of the district. Charitable activities are regularly organized and monks, nuns and Buddhists always carry out the motto "Dharma - Nation - Socialism".
On behalf of monks, nuns and Buddhists, Venerable Thich Minh Hai, abbot of An Thai Pagoda, thanked the district leaders and departments for their attention and creating conditions for monks, nuns and Buddhists to express their beliefs and participate in social activities in the area.
After visiting and congratulating at An Thai pagoda, the delegation continued to visit and congratulate Buddhist dignitaries at Yen Thai pagoda (Son Hai commune) and Can Mon pagoda (Quynh Phuong commune).
