Provincial leaders held a meeting with the Gifu delegation (Japan).

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 11th, a delegation from Gifu Province (Japan), led by Mr. Watanabe Naofumi - Head of the Information Industry Office, Advanced Industry Development Division, visited and worked in Nghe An.

Receiving and working with the delegation, on the Nghe An province side were: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives from several provincial departments and agencies.

Overview of the working session

In early July 2015, a delegation from Gifu Prefecture, led by Governor Hajime Furuta, visited Nghe An Province. The two sides discussed upcoming cooperation activities in various fields: investment, agriculture, human resource training, tourism, culture and sports, and considered signing a cooperation agreement in November 2015 in Gifu Prefecture.

Currently, there are two Japanese-owned factories operating effectively in Nghe An province, both located in Gifu Prefecture: Yabashi Limestone Mining Company, with an investment of US$4.51 million, established in 2000; and MLB Tenergy Garment Export Company, with an investment of US$20 million, established in 2011.

GrandfatherWatanabe Naofumi expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation with Nghe An in the future to create development in both provinces.

During the meeting, Mr. Watanabe Naofumi thanked Nghe An province for its warm welcome and expressed his desire to strengthen cooperation with Nghe An in many fields in the future. Mr. Watanabe Naofumi also invited the Nghe An delegation to visit and work in Gifu province in November 2015, attend the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two provinces, participate in the Manufacturing Technology Exhibition from November 13-14, 2015, and the Investment Promotion Seminar in Vietnam and Nghe An province from November 14-15, 2015.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc thanked Mr. Watanabe Naofumi for the invitation and expressed his welcome to the Gifu business group visiting Nghe An in February 2016.
