Provincial leaders work with the Socio-Economic Development Advisory Group

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

On the side of the Socio-Economic Development Advisory Group for the Provincial People's Committee Chairman, there are members: Mr. Truong Dinh Tuyen - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Trade, former Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Group; Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Dinh Thien - former Director of the Vietnam Economic Institute, Deputy Head of the Group; Mr. Ho Xuan Hung - former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, former Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam General Association of Agriculture and Rural Development; Mr. Tran Ngoc Chinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association, former Deputy Minister of Construction.

Passion and responsibility for the homeland

At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee reported on some outstanding results in socio-economic development, investment promotion and attraction in 2018; Socio-economic development plan in 2019 and orientations and solutions to promote and attract investment in the province.

Next, on behalf of the Advisory Group members, former Minister of Trade Truong Dinh Tuyen affirmed the members' dedication and responsibility for the province's development.

Thereby, Mr. Truong Dinh Tuyen proposed a number of contents for the Implementation Team in the coming time such as: contributing opinions to policies and decisions on socio-economic development of the province, especially contributing objective and independent critical opinions.

The Advisory Group also participates in giving opinions on the construction of socio-economic development plans for the province and Vinh City; coordinates with the Provincial People's Committee in building e-government, moving towards digital government, monitoring the implementation according to the requirements and goals of improving the investment and business environment of the province and contributing to attracting investors and businesses as well as promoting the image of the province;...

Other members of the Advisory Group also gave their opinions on the group's operating regulations and recommendations and suggestions for the province's development orientation in areas such as: investment attraction, planning, and development of the Western region;...

Order multiple content for the Advisory Board

Speaking at the meeting, comrades in the Provincial Party Standing Committee expressed their gratitude for the dedication and responsibility of the members of the Advisory Group for the development of Nghe An, and agreed on proposals on key contents in the coming activities.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son hopes that in addition to researching and advising on macro-level issues, he also hopes that the Advisory Group will help the province with specific issues.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also hopes that the Advisory Group will suggest more effective implementation solutions, achieving faster speed in the process of implementing the province's development orientation, and at the same time hopes to receive more critical opinions for the province.

Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh expressed his hope that the Advisory Group would help the province with issues of selecting infrastructure investment in the economic sector in the context of limited resources; developing human resources to meet the development of the province; screening projects; and restructuring investment in the industrial, agricultural, and service sectors in a reasonable manner to both develop and ensure social issues.

In addition, comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh also ordered the Advisory Group to address specific issues such as contributing ideas to the upcoming Vinh City development orientation workshop; proposing topics and commenting on the province's socio-economic development plan; administrative reform solutions and implementing the 2019 growth scenario; promoting and attracting investment, and participating in the appraisal of major investment projects;...

In particular, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Advisory Group to participate in drafting documents for the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, thereby working with the province to orient effective development directions in the coming time.

On June 13, 2018, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province signed Decision No. 2385/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Socio-Economic Advisory Group to advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on socio-economic development issues. Then, on the afternoon of August 18, 2018, the Provincial People's Committee organized the announcement of the Decision to establish the Group, including 6 members:
