Leaders of Nghe An province congratulate the Korean Embassy on the occasion of National Day.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 28th, in Hanoi, the leaders of Nghe An province visited and held a working meeting with the Korean Embassy on the occasion of Korea's National Day. Receiving and working with the Nghe An provincial leaders was Mr. Jun Dae Joo, Ambassador of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam. Representing the province were: Mr. Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

During the meeting, the Korean Embassy in Vietnam expressed gratitude to Nghe An province for sending flowers and congratulations on the occasion of Korea's National Day. The Ambassador provided information on the recent state of cooperation between Vietnam and Korea. He noted that Nghe An province, known as the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh, possesses many advantages in terms of potential, human resources, and transportation systems including waterways, railways, and air transport. In his capacity as Ambassador, Ambassador Chon-de-chu will continue to pay attention to and support the province's development, especially in attracting investment and encouraging Korean businesses to invest in the province. He emphasized the importance of supporting vocational training and creating jobs for the youth of Nghe An.

At the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, extended congratulations to the Ambassador and the people of South Korea on the occasion of National Day. He expressed gratitude for the attention given by the Government and people of South Korea to Nghe An province in recent years. Nghe An always considers cooperation in economic and social development with South Korea as very important, helping Nghe An province develop in many fields. Currently, Nghe An province has 14 South Korean enterprises investing in the province, including 10 investors with 100% foreign capital. However, these enterprises are currently small and medium-sized enterprises.

Comrade Ho Duc Phoc expressed his hope that the Ambassador would continue to pay attention to and encourage businesses from South Korea to invest in large-scale production and business projects in Nghe An province, especially in the fields of electronics, electronic component manufacturing, electricity development, and vocational training. The Provincial Party Secretary also informed the Ambassador about the potential and advantages of Nghe An and extended an invitation for the South Korean Ambassador to visit Nghe An province in the near future.

Also this morning, the leaders of Nghe An province held a working session with LOTTE Vietnam Construction and Engineering Co., Ltd. regarding the investment project to build a thermal power plant in Dong Hoi Industrial Park. During the meeting, Mr. Ho Duc Phoc informed the company about the province's potential and advantages. He also expressed his hope that the project would be implemented soon to provide electricity to the nation and attract labor resources from Nghe An province. Nghe An province will create the best possible conditions for the company to conduct investment surveys, as this is a 100% privately-funded project, and the province will provide all necessary information for the company to make an informed decision.
