(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 27, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province organized a flower and incense offering ceremony to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and heroic martyrs.

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee; leaders of provincial-level socio-political organizations.

At the Kim Lien National Special Relic Site, the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense in memory, expressing gratitude and deep respect for President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of our Party and People, Hero of National Liberation, and Outstanding Cultural Celebrity.

During his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh had special affection for war invalids, families of martyrs and families with meritorious services to the Fatherland. Imbued with Uncle Ho's thoughts and teachings and promoting the revolutionary tradition of the homeland, along with efforts to develop the economy and society, the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An always paid attention to and determined that implementing regimes and policies for people with meritorious services is a sentiment, honor and extremely important political task.

Through two resistance wars, Nghe An has more than 45,000 martyrs, more than 56,000 wounded soldiers, more than 20,000 people participating in combat and serving combat infected with toxic chemicals; more than 2,800 heroic Vietnamese mothers, more than 500,000 families and individuals awarded Resistance Medals and Orders.

Therefore, in addition to properly and promptly implementing policies and regimes, Party committees at all levels, the government, the Fatherland Front, political and social organizations and the people have actively, proactively and closely coordinated in organizing and implementing the work of caring for war invalids, sick soldiers, families of martyrs and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

In recent times, the province has built and repaired over 16,000 houses of gratitude; presented over 24,000 savings books to people with meritorious services; 100% of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers have received care; invested in upgrading, constructing and repairing over 1,000 cemeteries and monuments, and martyrs' steles; managed and cared for nearly 24,000 martyrs' graves. Conducted searches and collected over 14,000 remains of martyrs from provinces and cities across the country and martyrs who died in Laos, and brought them back for burial in cemeteries in the province.

In a sacred and respectful atmosphere, the delegation vowed to forever study and follow his ideology, morality and noble style; in which, they will continue to do well the work of gratitude to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and families with meritorious services to the revolution who have heroically sacrificed and made great contributions for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and the happiness of the people.

Next, at the Memorial Site of General Secretary Le Hong Phong in Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district, provincial leaders and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense to express their infinite gratitude to the late General Secretary Le Hong Phong for his lifelong sacrifice for the Vietnamese revolutionary cause.

Born in 1902, at the age of 40, with more than 20 years of revolutionary activities, comrade Le Hong Phong was a staunch communist soldier, a shining example of revolutionary spirit who devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation, class liberation and communist ideals.

At the mass grave and Memorial House at the Nghe - Tinh Soviet Square, Hung Nguyen District, the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province respectfully offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the heroic sacrifice of hundreds of Hung Nguyen farmers 92 years ago during the Nghe - Tinh Soviet movement. This is a memorial site for 217 martyrs who fell on September 12, 1930, during the historic demonstration of thousands of farmers that created the Nghe - Tinh Soviet movement.

Next, at the Memorial House of the Soviet Martyrs of Nghe - Tinh in the grounds of the Soviet Museum of Nghe - Tinh (Vinh City), the delegation respectfully offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the great contributions and sacrifices of the revolutionary martyrs.

The revolutionary struggle movement in the period of 1930 - 1931, with the peak of the Nghe - Tinh Soviet movement, became a brilliant milestone, opening the glorious history of the Vietnamese revolution; marking the fact that our Party - a revolutionary party, though still very young, for the first time clearly demonstrated its role, mettle, prestige, fighting strength and great ability in leading, uniting and mobilizing the masses.

This is also a strong proof of the inevitable victory of the Vietnamese revolution and the just struggle of our people in the struggle for national independence and socialism.

The delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense in memory, expressing deep gratitude to comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - a shining example of will, spirit, determination and mettle of a loyal and indomitable communist soldier at the Memorial House in Quang Trung Ward (Vinh City).

Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was born in 1910 in Vinh City and joined the revolution very early. On July 30, 1940, the Party's base was exposed, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was arrested by the French colonialists after attending a meeting of the Southern Regional Party Committee and sentenced to death. In August 1941, the French colonialists brought comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and a number of comrades to be executed. Under the enemy's gun, she died heroically at the age of 31.

Her life and revolutionary career are a beautiful and typical symbol of the heroic, indomitable, loyal and self-sacrificing spirit of Vietnamese women, a heroic woman in the struggle for national independence and the happiness of the people.

The memorial house of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai is located in Quang Trung ward, Vinh city. This is where artifacts and documents about her life and revolutionary career are displayed. This place has become one of the red addresses for traditional education for the young generation today and tomorrow.
