(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 7, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2022), the delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province came to offer flowers and incense to visit the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua - Yen Island, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council as head of the delegation. The delegation included members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Le Duc Cuong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Board; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; and representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and organizations.

Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy and his delegation respectfully laid flowers and offered incense to commemorate and express gratitude for the exceptionally outstanding contributions and dedication to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people of General Vo Nguyen Giap - an excellent and close student of President Ho Chi Minh.

General Vo Nguyen Giap was the first Commander-in-Chief of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, an outstanding military man, a highly prestigious leader of our Party, State and People; loved, respected and revered by Army officers and soldiers as the "Elder Brother" of the Vietnam People's Army.

During the resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, General Vo Nguyen Giap made important contributions to great victories, joining the heroic historical flow of the nation; becoming a legendary general, a military genius and receiving admiration and respect all over the world. General Vo Nguyen Giap made important contributions in the fields of education - training, science - technology, journalism, diplomacy, culture, history...

After more than 80 years of revolutionary activities, General Vo Nguyen Giap's life was closely associated with the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland; always setting a shining example of a steadfast revolutionary soldier, absolutely loyal, devoted to sacrificing and dedicating his whole life to the goals and ideals of the Party.

Studying and following the example of General Vo Nguyen Giap, the delegates vow to forever follow the path chosen by the Party, beloved Uncle Ho and our people; to excellently continue the glorious revolutionary cause that our predecessors and generations of fathers and brothers sacrificed their blood to gain; to strive to build Vietnam and our homeland Nghe An to become increasingly prosperous, beautiful, civilized and to firmly protect the Fatherland.
