Nghe An provincial leaders attend the 135th birthday celebration of President Ho Chi Minh in Lenin's hometown
On May 17, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Ekaterinburg coordinated with the Association of Vietnamese Solidarity in Ulyanovsk, Russian Federation to organize a ceremony to celebrate the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025).

Attending the ceremony, on the side of Ulyanovsk province were His Excellency Aleksey Russkikh, Governor of Ulyanovsk province and representatives of relevant agencies.
The delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended the ceremony.
Also attending were comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Chu Duc Thai - Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen The Than - Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs; Que Thi Tram Ngoc - Deputy Head of the Ethnic Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Deputy Chief of Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Ky Thanh - Head of the People's Council Work Department, Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council.

The ceremony took place solemnly with many rich and meaningful activities such as a photo exhibition about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh; organizing booths typical of Nghe An province; introducing traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Aleksey Russkikh, Governor of Ulyanovsk Province, affirmed that the celebration took place on the occasion of the two countries Vietnam - Russia towards the 75th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations (1950 - 2025); 50 years of Vietnam's liberation of the South and national reunification, Russia celebrates the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is an event that highlights the message of lasting ties between the two countries and two peoples. This event is not only an opportunity to honor President Ho Chi Minh but also a bridge to promote cooperation between Nghe An province and Ulyanovsk province.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Mai Huong - Consul General of Vietnam in Yekaterinburg affirmed that the relationship between the two countries, after 75 years of solidarity and friendship, is entering a new phase. The recent official visit of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam to the Russian Federation and the attendance at the 80th Anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War has created a new impetus for the relationship between the two countries to continue to develop strongly.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Bui Dinh Long emphasized: Celebrating President Ho Chi Minh's birthday in Lenin's homeland is a meaningful event, not only an occasion to commemorate two outstanding great men of humanity but also a vivid affirmation of the traditional friendship and close ties between the Vietnamese and Russian peoples.

On this occasion, comrade Bui Dinh Long affirmed that Nghe An province is committed to continuing to closely coordinate with Ulyanovsk province, contributing to further deepening the bilateral relationship, and effectively implementing the cooperation contents signed between the two localities.


During the working program, the delegation of Nghe An province visited Lenin Memorial House; visited High School No. 76, the school named after President Ho Chi Minh, which has a tradition of teaching foreign languages and cultures, including a program to learn about Vietnam. This is expected to be a potential address to organize cultural and educational exchange programs in the coming time.

On the same day, the delegation visited the Ulyanovsk Civil Aviation Museum, where they learned about the history of the development of the Soviet-Russian aviation industry, where many valuable artifacts about the history of aviation technology and industry are displayed, including the imprints of Vietnamese engineers and experts who studied and worked in Russia.
